El Al is the flag carrier of Israel. Founded in 1948, the airline has its hub at Ben Gurion International Airport. With a fleet size of forty three aircrafts, the airline operates scheduled domestic and international services and cargo flights to forty two destinations in Europe, North America, Africa and the Near and Far East. El Al in principle offers only kosher in-flight meals and does not fly passengers on the Jewish Sabbath or religious holidays. It is considered to be one of the world's most secure airlines.
