Founded in 2007 as Tiger Airways Australia, tigerair is a low-cost airline, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia. In July 2013, the airline got a revamp and changed its name to tigerair Australia. With a fleet of 15 aircraft, tigerair flights fly to 12 destinations. The airline has its operating bases at Brisbane Airport, Melbourne Airport, and Sydney Airport. The airline's parent company is Virgin Australia Holdings.
