Situated on the confluence of Liard and Mackenzie rivers, Fort Simpson (YFS) is a small village which is relatively famous among kayakers and canoeists. Part of Dehcho Region of Northwest Territories, Canada, the village is considered a gateway to Nahanni River and Nahanni National Park Reserve.
