Reasons to Book Cheap Fresno Flights

Fresno is a city in the state of California and county seat of Fresno County in the US. It is a nearly 150 year old American city with a profound taste for performing arts centers, historic theatres (that date back to 30s), museums and a large number of cultural events and festivals. A major attraction in the city is a hundred year old underground garden with a consistent range of subterranean vegetation throughout the year.

Forestiere Underground Gardens

Forestiere Underground Gardens in Fresno are a spectacular work and result of genius by Baldasare Forestiere (a Sicilian immigrant) who had followed his fascination with ancient Roman catacombs for over 40 years. He had excavated the hardpan layer of the soil to create an underground house with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a fish pond, a fireplace and some free space with that gets a bit of sunlight and ample oxygen. Some of the trees here are a hundred year old now and they all bloom in succession, thus making it a seamless experience throughout the year.

Woodward Park

Woodward Park is the largest public park in Fresno and is located near the San Joaquin River. It houses Shinzen Friendship Garden, which is a beautiful five-acre Japanese garden with a teahouse and more than a hundred bonsai plants. This teahouse was built in Japan and then put together by Japanese carpenters in 1981. This park hosts some significant cultural and sports events every year like the CIF Cross Country State Championships, and the Woodward Shakespeare Festival.
