Gillies Bay (YGB) is a tiny, vivacious, community on Texada Island, the northernmost and principal of B.C.’s Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia. It has approximately 450 permanent residents and welcomes many visitors in the summer months.

Texada IslandDrive down to the Texada Island which is a birdwatchers paradise, the island has more than 250 resident and migrant species of birds including cormorants, heron, bald eagles, Anna’s and Rufous hummingbirds. Take your kids there and see them enjoy watching birds.
