Kingston is a city located in Eastern Ontario in Canada at the point where the St Lawrence River flows out of the Lake Ontario. The city is positioned midway between Toronto and Montreal.   • Fort Henry: Originally built during the war of 1812, Fort Henry was used as a detainment camp for the political prisoners during the First World War. This spectacular monument continues its role as a historic site and museum. Visitors can get the feel of 19th century military life once entering this imposing site.
  • Murney Tower: Dating back to 1846 and the Oregon crisis, Murney Tower is a Martello tower located in Kingston. It boasts state-of-the-art construction and is a National Historic Site of Canada. At present, the site is managed and maintained by the Kingston Historical Society. It is operated as a military museum during summer months i.e. May to end of August.
  • Bellevue House National Historic Site of Canada: Once the home to Canada's first Prime Minister Sir John Alexander Macdonald from 1848 to 1849, Bellevue House National Historic Site of Canada is a historically significant site in Kingston. This house is well known for the non-symmetrical Italian Villa style of its architecture. Currently owned and operated by Parks Canada, the site is one of the main attractions in the city.
