  • Makino Botanical Garden: A verdant and peaceful site, Makino Botanical Garden is a botanical garden also named as the Kochi Prefectural Makino Botanical Garden. This garden was established with a research laboratory and a museum dedicated to Tomitaro Makino- the "Father of Japanese Botany". The garden remains closed on Mondays. The collection here includes Japanese Rhododendron, Chrysanthemum, Acer, limestone plants, serpentine plants, and wild plants of Kochi Prefecture region.
