Sint-PietersbergTake look at the defensive tunnels by which much of Maastricht is riddled with, the best place to see an old tunnel is Sint Pietersberg, a Roman fort 2km south of Helpoort. The tunnels were used as shelter during sieges and bombings. Book a boat ride which you can get from the city centre that has a commentary telling you the interesting landmarks along the way.
